Boarding, Step By Step

Shifts

The airlock is open around the clock, and a solo shift counts the same as a full one. The Ledger remembers both.

If you want company, say so in Discord and we'll line one up. We're early days, so shifts get scheduled rather than assumed. The slot that suits most of the server is:

Sundays, 19:00 UTC
3 PM Eastern / 9 PM Central Europe

Never heard of Space Station 14?

Space Station 14 is a free multiplayer game where every player is one crew member on the same space station — you take a job, work your shift, and deal with whatever goes wrong (something always goes wrong). Rounds are called shifts; when one ends, another begins. SOLREIGN is one server on that network, with a twist: most stations forget you when the round ends. This one keeps a file.

The Founding Shift

Listen to the recovered audio from the station's very first cycle. Some files were corrupted, but the telemetry remains intact.

The first shift did not begin with a launch. It began with a ledger entry, a borrowed wrench, and one very nervous station assistant.

WARNING: REDUNDANT ASSETS WILL BE PURGED

Log your intent to board and we'll point you to the crew channel, where shifts actually get called. Failure to RSVP may result in immediate asset reclassification. Probably.

Step 01

1. Install the launcher

Space Station 14 runs through its own launcher. Free, official, no account needed to start. Grab it from spacestation14.com or install straight from Steam — either way you land in the same launcher.

Step 02

2. Find SOLREIGN

Open the launcher, go to the server hub, and search SOLREIGN. One result. The row reads:

[EN][MRP] 🚀SOLREIGN | Persistent, sinister AI

In a hurry, or the search box is being weird? Skip straight to Direct Connect — click to launch, or paste it in:

Verified live against the station's own status feed — if the name on screen ever looks different, the address above always works.

Step 03

3. Let the first download finish

The very first time you connect, the client pulls down the station's content pack. You'll see “Downloading…” or a progress bar that looks stuck — it isn't. It's around 250 MB, so that's well under a minute on a fast line and several minutes on a slow one. The station is hosted in Europe, which adds time if you're further out. Don't close the launcher, don't retry, just let it sit.

Every connection after this one is instant.

Step 04

4. Click READY, or the shift starts without you

Connecting puts you in the lobby, not on the station. Pick a character and job, then press READY — only players who hit READY are put aboard when the countdown ends.

The same thing happens between shifts. When one ends, everyone is put back in the lobby unready, and the next shift needs READY again. It can look like the server dropped you. It didn't.

Policy

What you're walking into

SOLREIGN is PG-13 — younger crew walk these halls, and the house rules are enforced. It's roleplay-friendly and low-pressure: play your character as deep or as light as you like, nobody grades your performance. The station runs around the clock, and shift nights get called in the Discord.

Step 05

5. Stuck? Ask in Discord

If the launcher won't find the server, the download hangs for good, or anything else looks broken — drop it in the Discord and someone will sort you out. One player's six reports came back as a signed memorandum.

The crew coordinates there before it boards here.

That's it. See you on the station, asset.
